Brooke BurnsIt is not uncommon to find successful models who double up as successful actors or actresses as well and Brooke Burns is not an exception. Brooke Burns was born in 1978 in Dallas, Texas as Brooke Elizabeth Burns to a health care professional and homemaker parents. At the age of fifteen, the Caucasian beauty had already started to model and since then, she has been involved in film, radio, commercials and television.

Brooke Burns was just an ordinary Texas girl until she started modeling. Her career grew rapidly and within no time, she was getting contracts and traveling to many places. She worked as a fashion model for sometime but is currently known for her roles in film. When she moved to Los Angeles, the Baywatch opportunity came up and Burns auditioned for a role where she eventually played Jessica Owens. She also appeared in A Nero Wolfe Mystery and Ally McBeal as well as in the comedy film Shallow Hal. Other films and TV series she has acted in are The Salon, Melrose Place, CSI Miami, Drop Dead Diva, Men, Women & Dogs, Mortal Kombat: Conquest and Conan among others.

Brooke, who has had a best host nomination, attended Trinity Christian academy and was a 2001 Celebrity Fear Factor contestant. In 2003, she hosted the Miss Teen USA as well as appearing in Maxim Hot 100. Her recent appearances include the 2008 Christmas movie, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and the 2009 American TV show, Mistresses.

Brooke Burns is also an adept ballet dancer having done that for twelve years before she ventured into the modeling world. She can also perform salsa, ballroom, swing, waltz and tango among other dances. She also has skills in hosting, making voiceovers and as a comedian. Burns loves sports and she can play basketball, tennis, weight lifting, swimming, boxing and many others. She is definitely a multi talented model and has also been very philanthropic during her career, helping in abused children’s homes and supporting foundations such as Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation and Life Rolls On Foundation.

Brooke has been involved in two major accidents with the first one being where she was in a skiing accident which saw the end to her dancing career. The other she had while swimming and broke her neck after she dived into the swimming pool of her home. Brooke Burns who has been to Paris, Milan and Germany with her parents is currently a Los Angeles resident. She is the cover girl of the 2007/2008 winter edition of Smoke Magazine. Burns is a mother of one, a daughter she had with Julian McMahon, an Australian actor who has also been a fashion model.
